Second hand underwear cannot be sold in Zimbabwe

Undergarments

The finance minister of Zimbabwe has banned the sell of second hand underwear. He was surprised by his recent discovery that women buy such used underwear at flea markets and used garment stalls.

Tendai Biti said, “How does that happen? “If you are a husband and you see your wife buying underwear from the flea market, you would have failed.”

According to the new law no one can sell used undergarments obtained via any form like donated or purchased. Heavy taxes and duties will be imposed on imports of underwear. Also, a penalty of $3 per kg of imported underwear will be applicable.
