Christian Dior appoints new chief designer

Christian Dior, French fashion house which is widely famous in the entire world, has named its new chief fashion designer. He is Raf Simons who succeeded the disgraced chief fashion designer John Galliano who got fired from the post last year post his racist outburst in public.

Raf Simons, 44, is a Belgian and will be responsible for Ready to Wear Outfits, Haute Couture and Women’s Accessories. It was issued in a statement made by the Paris based fashion giant, Dior.

Raf in his initial years of career used to design furniture. His first Christian Dior Collection would be launched in Paris in July this year, the statement adds.

The fashion house terms Raf as one of the giants contemporary talents in the fashion world. The statement utters that Simons will be brining the new attractive eye-pleasing designs and inspirations from the 21st century style.

Galliano, the famed flamboyant British designer, was fired last year by Dior post the videos were released showing him using anti-Semitic slurs at the patrons in a bar in Paris.
